For 2026, women and men qualify for a pension at a different age and with a different required pension service — both risen from the previous year under чл. 68 KSO.
The age and the required service differ for women and men
For 2026, women qualify at 62 years and 6 months with 36 years and 10 months of pension service, and men at 64 years and 9 months with 39 years and 10 months of pension service (чл. 68, ал. 1–2 KSO). Both conditions — age and service — must be met at the same time.

These figures apply to people reaching the age in 2026 — чл. 68, ал. 1–2 raises both the age and the required service every calendar year, so next year’s figures will differ.
No provision was found allowing a pension on pension service alone, regardless of age — the чл. 68 route always requires both conditions together.
