Privacy policy

This page sets no analytics cookie and stores no identifier on your device — storage is denied by default and the site has no consent mechanism. Google Analytics 4 is nonetheless active and transmits data, including your IP address, to Google LLC (USA); no advertising cookies are set.

In short: this website sets no analytics or advertising cookies and stores no identifier on your device, but Google Analytics 4 is active and transmits data — including your IP address — to Google. No registration is required and calculations run locally in your browser, never leaving your device. Full details on Google Analytics 4 are set out below.

Data controller

This website is a free net-pay calculator for Bulgaria, operated and maintained by desymphony. The controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, GDPR) and the Bulgarian Personal Data Protection Act (Закон за защита на личните данни) is the operating entity; you can reach it at info@desymphony.com.

What data is processed

Using the calculator requires no sign-up, and we ourselves neither collect nor store any details that directly identify you — not your name, your civil identity number (ЕГН), your email address or the amounts you enter into the calculator. All calculations are carried out locally in your browser; your entries are not transmitted to a server and are not stored.

As with the operation of any website, the hosting provider may temporarily process technical connection data (for example a shortened IP address, the browser type and the time of access) in server logs, insofar as this is necessary for the secure and stable operation of the service. This data is not used to identify individual visitors and is not combined with other sources.

Purpose and legal basis

Processing is governed by the GDPR, which applies directly in Bulgaria, together with the national Personal Data Protection Act. Technically necessary operations — running the website and storing your language-suggestion preference — rely on the legitimate interest in a functioning, secure service (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). For the measurement carried out by Google Analytics 4, and for any advertising that may be added in future, every visitor — regardless of country — starts from the same default: every storage signal is denied (Google Consent Mode v2, deny-first), not just within the EEA. So no cookie is set and no identifier is stored on or read from your device; the site currently has no consent mechanism that could change this.

Cookies

The website sets no cookies at all; the only thing stored is a technically necessary language-suggestion preference in your browser’s local storage, so the “also available in …” suggestion does not reappear once you have closed it. Google Analytics 4 is active but likewise sets no cookie — consent is denied by default and the site has no mechanism that could change that. Analytics or advertising cookies would only be set if a consent mechanism were added and you actively consented. Which cookies would then be used — and the data that loading the tag nonetheless transmits to Google today — is described on the cookie policy page. You can also delete or block cookies at any time through your browser settings.

Analytics with Google Analytics 4

This website measures its reach with Google Analytics 4, provided by a third party, Google LLC (USA). Loading the tag may transmit data such as the page URL, referrer, your IP address at the point of connection, an IP-derived approximate location, and device/browser type. Google LLC is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, for which the European Commission has recognised an adequate level of protection. The service runs in denied storage for every visitor, everywhere (Consent Mode v2, deny-first, no region exception): no cookie is set, no identifier is stored on or read from your device, and there is no cross-site or cross-session recognition — Google receives only cookieless, aggregated pings. That default changes only if and when a consent mechanism is added and you actively consent; the site currently has no such mechanism. Your choice — now or in future — has no effect on how the calculator works.

The website’s free operation is not currently funded by advertising: no advertising network (such as Google AdSense) is integrated. Should that change after the official launch, this policy will be supplemented accordingly before advertising appears. Further information and settings for Google Analytics:

The operating entity does not control the content of third-party advertising and is not liable for its accuracy.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have, in particular, the following rights vis-à-vis the controller:

  • Access — to learn whether, and which, personal data about you is being processed.
  • Rectification — to have inaccurate data corrected.
  • Erasure — to request the deletion of your data.
  • Restriction and objection — to object to processing or to have it restricted.
  • Data portability — to receive your data in a common format or have it transferred.
  • Withdrawal of consent — to withdraw, at any time, a consent you have given, with effect for the future.
  • Complaint — to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority (see below).

Since we ourselves collect no data that directly identifies you, our processing is in practice very limited. For data that Google processes as a third party through Google Analytics 4, you also exercise your rights through Google’s tools (account and ad settings). Cookies that have been set can be deleted or blocked at any time through your browser.

Do not send personal payroll data

Please do not email us personal details from your payslip — not your name, your civil identity number (ЕГН) or precise amounts. An example is enough for a rough estimate: the calculator itself runs locally in your browser, and the values you enter are never transmitted to a server or stored.

Supervisory authority

If you believe that the processing of your data breaches data-protection law, you can contact the competent supervisory authority in Bulgaria:

Commission for Personal Data Protection (Комисия за защита на личните данни)

Contact

For any question about data protection and the processing of your data, you can reach us at info@desymphony.com. Suggestions and feedback about the calculator itself are welcome via the contact page.

Changes to this policy
